OUR MISSION
Pueblo Unido Gallery (PUG) is a dynamic community-driven art space situated within the organization of Centro Romero in Chicago. This initiative effectively mentors both youth and adult community members in curatorial and art practice. PUG actively offers engaging art classes, coordinates impactful exhibitions, and hosts a mix of local and international artists. The core mission of this project is to unite Centro Romero’s community members with the city of Chicago, establishing PUG as an influential visual arts communication hub. Through compelling storytelling and advocacy, PUG champions human rights within the context of refugees and migration.
PUG is supported by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, committed to building a more just, verdant, and peaceful world. More information at macfound.org.
